From Unconscious Bias to Inclusive Behaviors

The Inclusive Behaviors Workshop is a groundbreaking experience that creates awareness of unconscious bias and moves beyond it to implementing the “Three Rs” of Inclusive Behaviors. Unconscious Bias Awareness training is important, but on its own does not lead to behavior change. This day-long training incorporates interactivity and exercises that lead to the transformational culture change required to improve employee engagement, business performance and innovation. Through this program, individuals, teams, managers and leaders develop an understanding of how and why inclusion drives performance. Their unconscious bias awareness is lifted to a new level. Mostly importantly, however, once these leaders become “aware,” they can use the “Three Rs” of Inclusive Behaviors to make their learning actionable in their interactions with their teams, which accomplishes something that “Unconscious Bias Awareness Training” cannot and does not do. The program can be used as a lever of transformation towards an inclusive culture by scaling through an interactive elearning course module or an online virtual webinar series.

Champions of Change: Women and Men Partnering to Balance Workplace Power

The days of "us versus them" are over, or at least they should be, if the business performance we seek from a diverse workforce is to be realized. We are better together if both men and women partner to achieve the results that occur when everyone contributes to their full potential. This workshop has three components: two simultaneous tracks in the morning-- a track for female leaders, taught by Dr. Steven Jones, to impart the male perspective with actionable female leadership strategies and a track for male leaders, taught by Denise Pirrotti Hummel, to hear the female perspective and create a male champion action plan. There is a third track in the afternoon where men and women come together to engage in interactive exercises relative to their new-found tools and skills. Women learn that what they are experiencing is real, but can be mitigated through their own actions. Men learn what women experience in the workplace and how they can be part of the solution, rather than inadvertently contributing to the problem. Throughout the day, organizational strategies are imparted and the business case for gender parity becomes real.

Global Mindset Training: Using a framework to accelerate cross-cultural competence

We have been a global business force since the advent of the internet, yet many of our leaders still struggle with the core skills related to having a global mindset. Without the ability to see differing points of view and ways of facing business challenges, reaching consensus, teaming, approaching business objectives, teams can flounder. Without understanding the core elements that impact multi-nation initiatives and strategies, our leaders fail to consider key issues that ultimately impact a successful outcome. This workshop imparts the core skills related to effective communication and interaction across cultures and is also a framework for approaching multi-nation projects and objectives. Significant country-pairings are incorporated into the training, as appropriate. For example, if leaders or teams are facing a specific challenge between two specific national cultures, the differences between those cultures will form the basis for all case studies and role plays shared during the workshop.

Generational Inclusiveness: Knowing your XYZ's

While many organizations are focused on attracting and retaining Gen X employees, the effective organization focuses on the end to end talent cycle. The experienced workforce (Gen X) has knowledge and life experience that is invaluable, and the transference of that knowledge to Gen Y is just as critical as understanding the motivations, goals and beliefs that are crucial to recruiting and retaining millennials. This multi-generational workshop is effective for increasing team collaboration in individual business units, developing organizational succession planning and H.R. talent strategy, creating sustainable knowledge transference, grooming new talent, and creating understanding across generations that leads to organizational health.
